The Challenge: This food packaging company came to us because their Controller gave two weeks’ notice. They wanted to hire an Interim Controller as quickly as possible so the existing controller could train them. The biggest challenge was finding a qualified candidate quickly that was available to start immediately.
What Set this Search Apart: This was a fast search and we had to focus on candidates that were currently available that didn’t have to give another employer notice. The client also wanted candidates with QuickBooks desktop and manufacturing industry experience.
The Approach: We spoke with the company on a Wednesday and quickly did a customized search. Next, we immediately started reaching out to potential candidates and organized two interviews for the client on the following Friday.
The Results: The company liked both candidates but selected the one that they thought was the best fit. The candidate was able to start on the following Monday which allowed a week of training with the existing Controller.
